About Me

Hi, guys! My name’s Sarah. I’m very excited to share my thoughts with you! Let me tell you a bit about myself.
I was born in Austin, Texas on April 28, 2001. Michaela, my older sister who was four at the time, named me Sarah, which means princess (I can tell she regrets it). I go to a middle school in Austin, and when I first walked in, I’ll admit, I was scared. Scared of forgetting my locker combination, walking into the wrong class, getting onto the wrong bus, running into a few 8th graders, and everything else a 6th grader should be scared about. Now, as a 7th grader, I realize that middle school isn’t as bad as it seems. I’ve made a lot of new friends, I’ve become a pro at opening lockers, and I discovered that I actually love moving around so much! You get a chance to see your friends in the hallway, even if they’re not in your classes. Which is great, because when I’m not around my close friends, I’m that shy, quiet girl who sits in the back of the class and doesn’t say a word. Around my friends, I’m a hyper, random, puppy-crazed girl who has the courage to do anything. To me, friendship is everything, and without it, I wouldn’t be, well, me.
I don’t really have any hobbies, but I do love to hang out with my friends (once again, friendship is everything to me!), and listen to music. Gosh, I could listen to one song over, and over again if its good. If you ever see me on the bus, staring out the window with my headphones in, don’t even try to talk to me. Inside my head, I’m playing out my own little music video.
Aside from my parents and my sister, I have two other members of the family. Two energetic schnoodles (mix breed of a schnauzer and a poodle) named Truffles and Remy, who just love to get themselves into trouble in any way they can. Chewing up rugs and carpets, scratching at the couch, and waking my parents up at 6:00 on weekends.
I hope you enjoy the rest of my posts!

  2. Hi Sarah
What a great introduction – I feel I know you! I love the description of your fears at going to Middle school. You write in such a natural ‘voice’ that makes me want to read on.
I teach in a K – 12 school in Australia, and love taking part in the student blogging challenge, though this year we’re waiting till the September challenge.
I’m looking forward to see how you get on with the tasks each week.
